    The light trap work great at attracting small insects and catching them on the sticky film, and it’s safe to use around kids and pets because there is no hazardous chemicals in it. However I think the refills are quite expensive considering the fact that they are just sticky pieces of plastics.

    Got a couple of gnats, but it does not work for fruit flies. This is the second "blue light" trap I have tried, but the blue light does not seem to attrack fruit flies. Only the liquid traps work with them.

    If you live in the midwest, you know spring/summer is fruit fly season. I don't care how clean your house is, they will find their way in, and you've got to deal with it efficiently or you'll quickly be outnumbered. As such, I grabbed this to make sure we're prepped ahead of time. What I like about these are, they don't stand out, just plug it in to any outlet and they display a nice blue light that doubles as night lighting and attracts the flies in the darkness to their new home. No unsightly strips hanging from the ceiling, no poison traps that you have to worry about pets or kids touching. It doesn't get much easier than that. Size wise, these aren't all that large either, which in my opinion is a plus, because again, we'd prefer this to be a discrete operation rather than drawing attention to it. The refills can be had for about half the price of this kit, which isn't too terrible, all things considered.

    Overall, I'm happy to recommend it.

    This is similar to the sticky light trap offerings by other brands out there. A bit on the expensive side considering the numerous alternatives available. It works decently well but I believe my old school zapper does a better job overall. I keep this on while I'm in the living/kitchen area as I don't want to hear loud zaps while cooking or watching tv.
